It has been a while since I have posted, so I thought I would post a few pictures of what is going on here in Nashville! Chris left on Wednesday to go to the Titleist studio in San Diego. He is having a BLAST and has pretty much gotten a whole new set of golf clubs that are now conforming (something about the grooves on the clubs). He feels really good about how he is hitting the ball and is really glad to be away from this cold weather. I must say, the last week has been a real challenge as his practice time has been very limited due to the weather. Winter in Nashville is always hard to deal with when trying to play golf, but by God's grace, we are making it through! Chris was supposed to fly back tonight, but due to the winter storm and his flight more than likely being cancelled, he will be flying back next week! Since he is a PGA member, he has found a great place to practice and even better, he is probably going to try to Monday Qualify for the PGA Tour event next week. His good friends Josh Teater (a 2010 PGA Tour player) and his caddie Charlie Gibson (a good friend that Chris went to high school with and was in our wedding) will be at the same Monday Qualifier. Chris had the opportunity to hang out with them this week as the PGA tournament was in San Diego. Chris got to go to the PGA Bible study and I know he really enjoyed that.
I have been working hard student teaching. I am loving teaching and loving being in a great school. As you can see in the picture, I have been working hard on assessing students for my student teaching project. It is a very tiring job, as most days all I want to do is come home and sit down. I am on my feet all day, but love being a busy bee! It is very rewarding getting to watch these children learn and grow!
Bailey is doing awesome! She is growing up so fast! She is getting longer each day! :) I took her out in the snow this morning and I don't think she was a huge fan! I am sure it is cold since her belly is so close to the ground. There are also pictures of sweet Myatt holding Bailey! She loves Bailey so much and so I take Bailey with me when I babysit the Hooper girls! Myatt is my sweet, little friend that I have kept since she was 3 weeks old. She and I have so much fun together! She has two older sisters, Eads and Maggie, who were in our wedding! Chris and I love them all dearly!
We are staying busy around here and just praying for God to continue to show us the way for 2010! I must say, I am looking forward to the summer, so I can travel with Chris to some tournaments! Please pray that Chris will get in some of the early Nationwide events so he can better his number to play more events! I think he is in great spirits now that he is out of this cold weather! Pray that he will work hard and continue to do his very best to carry out God's plan for this year! We remain so grateful for our family and friends who support us in our journey! We are blessed with all of the awesome opportunities we have and look forward to a great year ahead! May each of us live as God intends and may we be ever mindful of the needs of others. May all that we say, think, and do be always pleasing unto Him, and may we remember to always be grateful for all that we have been given! Much love from Nashville!!!!
P.S. Chris' staff bag came in yesterday, so I had to open it and take pictures so he could see it!! It was like opening a Christmas present! :) Enjoy the pictures! Olde Stone is the course in Bowling Green, KY where Chris practices and where his instructor, Matt Killen, is located! Also, big thanks to Alan Bullington, Chris' agent, who has worked so hard to get deals for Chris' 2010 season! Thanks Alan!!
