Happy 4th to everyone.  Every time I hear these words sung by ZBB, I get chills and sing it really loud in my heart!  These words are such a great reminder that we live in such an amazing place and that there are men and women every day, no matter if they are on the war front or serving in our homeland, who are sacrificing their lives and service, just so we can enjoy life to the fullest here in America.  I want to give a special salute to my grandfather who served in the Navy and my brother who serves in the Navy now.  Thank you for your time and for serving us so that we may be free! We also have a friend, Kip Smith and his wife Missy, who have recently moved from Franklin so that Kip may complete his training in the Air Force! Thanks so much for your service as well, Kip!

As for us, we are at home enjoying this long holiday weekend together.  Chris will get back on the road Thursday to do a little tournament in KY, and then off to Cincinnati to MQ for the Nationwide Tour event.  We thank God for all of the many blessings in our life, and we continue to walk the journey He has prepared for us! Thanks to so many people who have followed and continue to follow.  Chris is doing well and we just look forward to all that lies ahead.  May God bless each of you this day and always! Road Trip to Newport, RI

Chris and I were able to take a little road trip today to Newport. It
was about an hour and half away from where we are staying, so we went
on a little adventure! My sweet friend, Fran Varner Snow, told us to
tour one of the mansions called The Breakers, which was actually the
summer home of the Vanderbilts, so that was really neat and I now want
to read more about them. It was increible and Chris took some great
pictures! We are headed back to Nashville tomorrow and Chris will then
decide what is next. We have enjoyed a day away from golf and just had
a great time with each other! Thanks for all of the encouragement!!!

Tomorrow is another day!!!

Well obviously today was not the day Chris wanted, but the great news
in it all is that he is still living!! Woohoo!! :) Golf can be a mean
game, can't it? We are grateful for the opportunity Chris had today,
and this isn't the first bad day and it won't be the last. We had the
opportunity to get a VIP tour of ESPN today and it was absolutely
incredible! That was one of the perks the tournament offered to
players! It was really neat and I will try to post some pics soon! We
just truly remain grateful for our time together and just all that God
has given us. Thanks for all of the encouragement you have given to
us. It is noticed and appreciated and we just pray that God will
continue to show us the way! May God bless each of you and look

Practice Round Day

It has been a long, but great day! My flight got into Hartford at 2:45 this afternoon, and I got my bags and caught a shuttle to the course.  I got to the course around 3:45ish, as it is about 25 minutes from the airport. I had a really nice guy that actually works for Travelers Group give me a ride, so it was cool getting to talk to him and get some local knowledge about CT.  By the time I met Chris, they were on the 15th green, so I actually walked the last few holes with Chris and our friend Eric, who is caddying for Chris this week.  It is amazing that they are playing golf in this tiny town.  There is not much to Cromwell, CT, but it is a neat little place for sure!  The people here are extremely nice!  We went to dinner at Chili's and now the guys are studying the yardage books and preparing for the week.  Chris is in great spirits.  He seems really relaxed and ready to play.  Tomorrow he will be practicing some, and I get to go to the spa!! We are hoping to catch a movie tomorrow afternoon so he can get off his feet and rest his legs.  Other than that, I think we are just feel really blessed and excited to be here and be together.  Chris feels good about his game and feels like he is hitting the ball much better.  Thanks again to all the phone calls, texts, and emails. We truly feel God's presence when people send their love and support our way.  It is a great feeling to know so many people love us and care!  We are planning on going to Tour Bible study tomorrow night, so hopefully I can post afterwards tomorrow night.  Chris will tee off at 8:45 Thursday and 1:45 Friday.  He is playing with 2 people he knows well, so I think he is really excited about that! This week...

I am currently at the airport waiting for my flight to CT!! Chris shot
67 yesterday, which was the low score for the Monday qualifier! He
tied with 2 other guys and they took 4 guys. We are really looking
forward to a great week and just know that God is walking this journey
with us. I will land in CT 2:45 eastern and will get a shuttle to the
course from the airport! Thanks again for all of the calls, texts and
emails! It will be a great week and another great experience!! I am
looking forward to seeing all of the sweet wives that I met in

It was HOT!!!

St. Jude Classic

WOW! Where do I begin? I am not sure what I am about to type, but here goes. Last week was overwhelming, but it was an amazing opportunity for Chris to grow professionally and with the experiences he gained from the week, I believe he is on the right track! Even though Chris did not finish as high as he would have liked, we are grateful that he made the cut and got to play with some great golfers. Many of you probably want to know what happened on Sunday. It was an eventful round, but I am proud of the way Chris fought back. Chris had played golf 10 out of the previous 11 days on Sunday, and honestly, he was just EXHAUSTED! The heat and humidity caught up with Chris on the end of the third day, and the last day. I was not even playing and I was pretty tired myself. As most of you probably saw, Chris birdied 4 out of the last 7 holes, and he chipped in on 18 for an exciting finish! I was asked several times how I was feeling throughout the round on Sunday, and yes my heart was breaking for Chris, but I knew Chris was going to take something positive from this experience and learn from it.

Most importantly, we just want to thank everyone who came out and followed Chris throughout the week and also all of you who have called, emailed, and texted us! We are overwhelmed by the number of people who have encouraged Chris throughout his journey as a golfer. We are blessed by God in so many ways. God provides in numerous ways for Chris to continue doing what he loves, and we are so gracious for this opportunity. Once again, I am so proud of the way Chris handles himself on and off the golf course. I know I may be bragging a little bit, but he is such a classy person and the whole week he had a smile on his face, which I had several people comment about how happy he was. I know I am a little partial....ok maybe I am very partial, but he truly represents this sport to the fullest, and it is so obvious how much he loves the game.

Chris will be home for the rest of this week, and then he will head out this weekend for the E-golf tour event next week. We are so excited to see what God has in store for the rest of this year! Today

Chris is still snoozing,as I write, resting up for today's round! He
played solid yesterday, although he did some fine tuning to his swing
yesterday after the round! We are so blessed to have so many people
here watching and so many more people coming!! He tees off at 1:44
today and we just continue to praise God for the opportunity for Chris
to tee it up and have a blast! One guy came up to him yesterday and
said that he loved that Chris had a smile on his face every time he
saw him! We are all having a blast! Hopefully today will be another

US Open Sectionals and St. Jude!!

First of all, I need to apologize for not writing on here in so long.
It has been a crazy couple of weeks with a lot going on. With summer
here, I thought I would have more time to write, but quite honestly it
has been the opposite! As some of you may know, Chris shot 63
yesterday in the PGA St. Jude qualifier finishing as the medalist and
will begin play this Thursday. Tee times will be up tomorrow, so I
will try to post. It should be on the PGA website as well! We are
super excited as Chris played this tournament 2 years ago, hopefully
this time we will be there through Sunday! Today Chris tried to
qualify for the US Open in the 2nd round of qualifying. Chris played
well, but he was just mentally exhausted after qualifying yesterday. I
have learned over the years how mental golf is, and playing 36 holes
truly is draining. Heck, I only walked and I was exhausted! I can't
imagine how draining actually playing would be! With all of that
being said, Chris and I are both so excited about this week and all
that God has in store for us! Pray that Chris will get some good rest
for the week ahead and that he will just do his humanly best! He will
play a practice round late tomorrow and meet with his agent and
teacher. He will practice very little Wednesday and get some much

State Open Finals

Well......after a long day of sitting in the clubhouse......Chris did not even play!!! He shot 69, 68 and tied for 3rd as a pro! We are very excited and his game is really shaping up! Next up will be an E-golf event in South Carolina next week! Stay tuned! Much love from Nashville!!

Chris played early this morning and shot 3 under! Not sure what scores
are looking like although I know he was 2 back from the lead when we
left!! It was a little chilly, but great!! I have had a great birthday

A Great Week!!

First of all, I must say that it has been a great week starting with
my graduation and having my parents and grandparents in Nashville last
weekend. Chris and I have gotten to spend all week with both sets of
grandparents, whom we still have with us and it has been so nice to
spend time with both!! We love y'all so much! We have had such a great
week being with each other and just enjoying the time God has given us
to be together. It was a great day for Chris and I must brag because I
can! He birdied 4 out of 5 par 3s. What an accomplishment!! I am so
proud of the way he handles himself on and off the golf course. I am
so proud to be married to him! He had 6 birdies and 3 bogies, but he
putted the ball really well today. It was the haircut and new putter I
do believe! Chris will be playing in the US Open Sectionals back at
this course on the Monday of the week of the St. Jude qualifier, which
is Sunday before! As Chris said today, we are 1 for 1 since I was able
to watch today! Next up is the TN State Open next week in Dickson, TN!

Chris Made It!!

US Open Locals Qualifying it is!!!

Well... Chris still remains 2nd in line for the Nationwide tournament
this week, so it looks like we will be staying in Memphis for the US
Open Locals. Should Chris make it through tomorrow, he will then go to
Sectionals! Thanks so much to all of you who have been asking and
praying for us this week!! It has been challenging sitting on the
fence if you will, but God wants us on this side this week!! Chris

Finally a Haircut!!!

Memphis for now.....

Well we headed to Memphis around noon today!! Chris had some clubs
worked on and regripped and we are just still waiting!! Chris has
moved up to number 2 and they still can't get in touch with the person
ahead of him, so depending on the situation... We may be headed to
Charlotte tomorrow! If not, US open locals it is!! Who knows!! We are
just doing what God intends for us!! Chris got a new "do!" Maybe that
will be the luck he needs to get him going!! :) Thanks for all of the

Nationwide or US Open Locals?

As I sit here and write, Chris and I literally are sitting here wondering what we should do! Chris is currently 3 spots away from getting in the Nationwide event for this week, and he also has his US Open Locals in Memphis on Thursday. We have been busy this morning packing and just trying to figure out where we are going! We have called the PGA headquarters, and they are supposed to call him. One person in front of him has gotten into the PGA event this week, and another person is MIA...they can't get in touch with him. That would put Chris at first alternate! We are just waiting patiently for God's plan to unfold the week. This is pretty much how this year has gone for us...just a lot of not knowing! Chris and I just continue to pray for what God wants for us and we know that whatever He has in store, it will be great! We are both just ready for whatever may come this week! No matter what, I know that Chris will glorify God and be thankful for whatever opportunity comes his way! We will keep you updated on where we are going! Either Charlotte, NC area or Memphis! Graduation!!!

Hard Few Weeks.....

Chris and I have both a rough couple of weeks. It just seems that every time we turn around, something hard is happening in our lives. I sat here last weekend and watched it rain, and rain, and rain, and rain. It was disheartening to watch this city get swallowed by all of the rain water. I can honestly say, the only feeling I had was sheer helplessness! No, Chris and I were not personally affected, but when you watch something as tragic as this happen to a place where you call home, it really hits home. I can remember sitting in closets and such for tornadoes growing up, but usually those are quick to pass. This event was just slow and steady and it just wouldn't go away. I have posted a picture of our church, St. George's Episcopal Church, sanctuary. The whole church and Kindergarten flooded with about 2 feet of water on the first floor. It breaks my heart to see all of the damage, but I know that with God's help it will come back better and stronger. As most of you probably saw, Chris missed the cut this week and the last. I, on the other hand, can not find teaching job opportunities that are available right now for the fall. I can honestly tell you that we have both been stressed the past few months and really just out of any sort of routine. Chris has been bouncing back between 2 tours and I have been student teaching, which has brought in no income. As hard as it is, God is working in our midst. As hard as it can be to see, we know that His plans for our lives are in full swing. Even though we have all of these hardships in our lives, we do know that God is good and that He is working right now in our lives. Since I can be a worrier sometimes, I have been challenged in a big way to just "Let go and Let God." God is in control, and He has our best interest at heart. Thanks to our friends and family who have just supported us over the past few months. We have much to celebrate this weekend as I will be graduating with my Masters in the Art of Teaching, and Chris will now be here to celebrate this milestone with me! Thanks be to God for all of the blessings we have been given and continue to receive each day, as each day is a blessing from God! May we all continue to honor God in all that we say, think, and do. I would like to share a prayer from one of the priests who married us, The Rev. David Elliott. He says this prayer at the end of the church service every Sunday, and closed at our wedding with this prayer. It is absolutely one of my favorites!

I can't believe I forgot to post my sweet Momma's birthday!!! I have been so wrapped up in this massive flood and Bailey's surgery, that I forgot to post her birthday yesterday! She got to go to dinner with my dad and friends last night, so I know they had a great time!!! We love you very much and wish you many, many more!!!

blessed that her surgery went well!! I have been a nervous Nellie all
day!! I almost cried when I left her this morning. I will be by her

Nashville is FLOODED!!!

Hello all!! Chris and I are blessed by God that we have not been affected as far as our home getting damaged from all of the rain, however, our church is under water. The first floor of our church is flooded and the Kindergarten where I have worked the past 2 years is attached to the church has tremendous amounts of damage. We are asking for your prayers for all of the people in Nashville and the surrounding areas affected by this flood. Studio 19, Chris' dad's studio which is on Music Row, could possibly have damage and we will find out tomorrow. What a crazy weekend. We lift up all those who have lost homes in this storm, that God will put His loving arms around them and protect them as they figure out what to do. This proves to be such a great reminder that no matter how hard life can be sometimes, that our "small problems" are just what they are. SMALL! Thanks be to God for those lives who have been spared....and for those lost....may God be with their families and friends in the days to come. We are thankful for all we have been given, and all the blessings in our lives. Each day is a gift and we are grateful for every day that God gives us. Much love from Nashville.....

2 more days!!!!

What a ride it has been! I have 2 more days and I will be finished with my Masters in the Art of Teaching! I am sorry for not posting very much these past few weeks! I have been so busy trying to wrap up all of the requirements for my student teaching. Chris' year so far has been very trying and different than last, but we are grateful for the opportunities at hand. He is currently trying to Monday Qualify for the Nationwide events each week, yet also trying to get to the E-golf events as well. It is not the most ideal situation, but we know that God is working this situation exactly as He has planned, and we are just carrying it out! Thank you to everyone for keeping us in your prayers and for encouraging us in every way possible. Chris is staying strong and I know that he is going to get going soon....it is just taking a little more time and patience! After I graduate on May 8th, I will have the opportunity to travel with him some and we are both so excited that I will be able to share some of his "road experiences" with each other. Let me just be the first to tell you.....it is really hard to go weeks at a time away from each other, but I do know that God has control of what our plan for the next few years will be! We are just living each day to the best of our ability to see what God has in store. May God bless each of you in the days to come and may He be with us in all that we say, think, and do. Crazy Week!

Some weeks are boring, but not this week! WHEW! Chris and I got back from the Masters at 1 a.m. Monday morning and somehow I made it to school by 7:45. Even though I was there, I was not there! :) This week was really busy at school as the kids are getting ready to start TCAP testing tomorrow, which is the big state test given every year. Please pray that our 3rd graders will be ready! Chris left yesterday for Valdosta, GA. He will be trying to Monday Qualify again for the Nationwide event. He played a practice round today and played well. Bailey and I had a really fun day today. I went to the gym for a bit, then my friend Julia and I played tennis and took Bailey to a walking trail! It was lots of fun and BEAUTIFUL here! Bailey got a bath this evening and is now snuggled up next to me trying to warm up! Spring Break!!

Wow....I do apologize for not posting in FOREVER!!! I am on spring break this week from student teaching and I think my mind has been on spring break for a couple of weeks now! :) That is what happens when good weather comes around! Chris is currently in Wilmington, NC playing a tournament. We were in my hometown, Jackson, MS for Easter and had a great time seeing family and friends. We are now Godparents to our dear friend Carleen Harrison's son! Chris and I feel so blessed and honored to be Godparents and we are so proud of our new Godson. He is truly a blessing from God and we pray that we will be supportive in all he does in his life! I also got to see my Goddaughter, Emma, while I was in Jackson. She is such a sweet girl and we had so much fun hunting Easter Eggs after church and going to get ice cream at Maggie Moos! God has blessed my life with so many wonderful people! At Easter lunch, we had a house full of dogs. Bailey fell in LOVE with my Geedaddy! He kept giving her chips with dip on them! It was too cute! Don't worry folks....she got to run around with my cousin's dog after her lunch of chips and dip! Overall, it was a great weekend! Chris did have to fly out early Easter morning, but we are very thankful that we at least got to spend our first Easter together at church on Saturday night! The best part of it all is that we are going to the Masters on this coming Sunday! Although we can't take pictures there, we will take some after with all of the merchandise people want us to buy for them! :) We feel very blessed to have this opportunity to go and hopefully Chris will be playing it soon!!! Tied for 10th!

Well, one good thing about me getting to visit with Morgan Leigh in
Birmingham is that I got to see Chris on his way to Louisiana! We had
dinner for about an hour or so and then off he went! He drove all the
way to Hammond, LA... 100 miles from his destination Lafayette, LA. He
arrived in Hammond around 3:20 AM...or at least that is when I got the
text he made it ok! He had a great week in Charlotte! He tied for
tenth place, which I am so proud of him! I think overall Chris is
pleased with his game. He is really working on putting, but he is
hitting the ball well! He will play a practice round today at 1:30 and
his qualifying round tee time tomorrow will be at 7:50. Please pray
that he will be rested for Monday and that he will just do his very
best! God has provided so much and we are blessed for that. Even
though I could complain that I only got to see Chris for an hour last
night, I just feel blessed that I got to see him at all! Thanks for

A WONDERFUL WEEKEND

I had the opportunity to get away this weekend and it was much needed
for sure! Bailey and I went south to Birmingham to see my sweet friend
Morgan Leigh and her yorkie Harry Winston! I must say Harry was a
little territorial but he and Bailey became best friends! Morgan Leigh
is the present fairy and gave Bailey an Easter bunny, which she
loves!! Thanks Morgan Leigh and Harry Winston for such a fun, much
needed weekend!! More pics to come soon!!!

WE THINK WE CAN!

Chris and I have the mentality this week of WE THINK WE CAN!! I am on the home stretch of student teaching and Chris is gearing up for another tournament week! I think between all of the cold, yucky weather this winter and just ready to be together traveling for the summer, we are just doing our best to get through the next few weeks! Now that the time change has come, I think it is really exciting to know that the warm weather is right around the corner! Chris went and had a lesson the past 2 weekends. He seems to really be hitting the ball better and better each time he goes for a lesson and I think he is just ready for the tournaments to start picking up. He is in Charlotte this week for an Egolf tour, and then next week, he will be heading down to Louisiana for his first Nationwide Monday Qualifier. It has been a slow start as far as Chris not playing a lot of tournaments so far this year, but his schedule is about to be really crazy! Pray that he will remain calm throughout the next few days and weeks to come and that he will just carry out God's will as he plays to the best of his human ability. We remain grateful to God for the opportunity to do the things that we love to do. This journey is molding us into exactly who God wants us to be, and we are blessed for and by that! God is good! Hope all is well with everyone!

Chris and I took Bailey to the park after I got out of school today. It was such a beautiful day! Bailey had her second playdate with the cutest yorkie named Muffin! We met Muffin at the park last weekend. They love playing with each other and get along great! We hope to see Muffin again soon! Hope everyone is doing well! We are doing well here!

Just talked to Chris......

Well, it seems that they have had another delay this morning, so Chris is only playing 18 today and the tournament will be a 54 hole tournament, versus the 72 holes that they would have played. Usually Chris would probably want to go ahead and play the 72 holes to try and move up the leader board, but honestly, he is just ready to get it over and come home! I am ready for him to come home too! His new tee time is 10:00 Eastern standard, so he will probably be done around 2ish Central standard. He will then hit the road to come home! I will try to post this afternoon what he has finished! He is already 1 under after 2 holes he got in last night, so hopefully he can keep that birdie train going! Check back and see how he finishes! Made the Cut!

First of all, I just want to apologize for not posting on here! I have had a crazy busy week! I am sure most of you are wondering what the heck is going on with the Tarheel tour and I am sorry! Anyway, yesterday they had a huge delay, so the guys in the afternoon wave did not finish their 2nd round. Chris had to wait around to find out if he made the cut, which he did on the number (WHEW!). He teed off just a little while ago, and so he will only get in a few holes for his 3rd round. Tomorrow, he will be finishing the 3rd round and playing the 4th round. Basically, tomorrow is going to be a LOOOONG day! Chris is playing really well. He told me he feels good about his game, although the score is not really showing for it. Personally, I still think he is not quite 100% from the flu. As most of you know, it can take a little while to bounce back from the flu and not being at home and getting the proper rest can make the recovery process a little longer. Chris is staying positive though! Thanks to all for checking in on us! We greatly appreciate all of the encouragement and support thorough all of this! God is so good and we remain faithful and blessed throughout our journey!! Please pray that Chris will just go out there and do his best for the final 2 rounds! He is hanging in there! Today Chris and a few others were able to play at the TPC Sawgrass course, which is the home of the PGA! Chris had a great time and he actually birdied the last few holes (including the one that is the "island" hole)! I told Chris to take some pictures and he did, so once I can get a hold of those, I will post. Chris and a few friends are back in Savannah, GA, getting ready for this week's Egolf event. Chris sounds much better and even though he is not 100%, I think by Wednesday he will be! Thanks to everyone for your prayers and support. Sorry!

Sorry for not posting this week! I have pretty much had a crummy week and I know Chris has as well. Chris played the tournament with the flu this week. Not sure how he did it, but he managed to play 2 rounds with a fever and everything. There really is not much to report, as he missed the cut. Hopefully, next week will be a better one! For some reason, God had a different plan for this week than what we had anticipated. Thanks for all of your prayers and support this week. We are looking forward to moving on and praying for a better week next week. It is all in God's hands and we remain grateful for that! Thanks to everyone for checking the blog and keeping up with us! AND SO IT BEGINS!

I was thinking about what to write tonight, and all I could come up with is AND SO IT BEGINS. The 2010 Tournament season has arrived for Chris. Some golfers have already started their journey for the year, but for Chris, it has been 2 months of preparation for the upcoming year. I have talked to him several times today and he still has "the crud." I bet with some medicine and a good night's sleep, he will be ready to go!

You may be wondering why I put this picture up from last May! I just thought it serves as a great reminder that through God anything is possible! Golf can be such an up and down sport. One week can be the best week, and then the very next can be the worst week. I have great respect for those who play the sport because I could not put up with that! With all of that being said, I hope that it will be a great year for Chris. I know how hard he has worked and how much he loves the sport of golf. No matter the outcome of this year, we give God all of the glory for living a life of chasing dreams and doing things that our hearts truly desire.

Throughout this journey, I think that the most important thing that Chris and I both remember is that God is our top priority in our lives. If we seek to live out His will for our lives, then everything will fall into place how it is meant to be. Yes, this year would be a lot easier if Chris did not have to Monday Qualify for Nationwide events. Yes, this year would be easier if we knew exactly which tournaments Chris would be able to play. There are so many unknowns for us this year, but that is God's plan for us. Instead of dwelling on all of the hardships, God is giving us an opportunity to make the very best of what He has presented to us. I tell Chris all the time, it is not a matter of if he will make it, but when. Through God, Chris has the talent to play this game. God's timing is perfect in all that we do!

Thank you for your support for us. We are just walking the journey with God's grace and mercy and we pray that whatever may come our way, that we do it with all of His glory! If we give it to God, we will be successful! God is in control, we are just following the path He leads for us! Chris tees off at 8:20 AM eastern time. Please pray that he will feel better and that he will do his very best and let God do the rest! 2010 Tentative Schedule

Please check out the tentative schedule at the bottom of this page! It is up! The red events are the Nationwide events Chris will try to get in. The blue is the Egolf tour events. The MQ stands for Monday Qualifier. Since Chris is not exempt for any Nationwide Tournament, he will try to MQ to get in events to make a cut and get a better number once the re-shuffle takes place. They re-shuffle the numbers after around 7 tournaments! I know the schedule isn't the prettiest thing in the world, but I was too lazy to retype what Chris already had! :) Much love to all!!!

God Provides!

First of all, I would like to wish each of you a Happy Valentine's Day! Chris and I don't get in to the holiday too much, but he was nice enough to get me some flowers and my FAVORITE Dove Chocolate! Well, Chris left this morning for 2 weeks! He is off to Hilton Head for 2 E-golf tour events. Chris and I rode up to Bowling Green, KY for a lesson yesterday and it was all positive! Chris got some great time in with his teacher and he is hitting the ball like a pro....I guess that is a good thing since he is one! I was really excited to sit in and listen to what they had to say! Every time I get to sit in on a lesson, it makes me more appreciative that I don't play the sport of golf! There is too much to think about to hit a little white ball around!

With all of that being said, over the past few weeks, Chris and I have done lots of praying and had lots of conversations about plans for the upcoming year. It has been very difficult and very exciting all at the same time, but we think God is leading us in the right direction. Chris and I sat down and looked at his schedule for 2010 (I am going to try to post it on here). Starting at the beginning of April, Chris will be gone for 12 straight weeks in a row. Since he is not guaranteed any Nationwide events, Chris will be very busy trying to Monday Qualify at events to better his number in the re-shuffle (very confusing I know). Anyway, we have decided that the best decision for our marriage and for each of our own happiness is for me to go with him on the road to hopefully most events. Since money is never guaranteed until you make it, I am hopefully going to start going to most of the tournaments that are within driving distance. My goal for the 2010-2011 school year is to sub at several local schools to remain involved with schools in the event that I will have to go back and get a full time job! This is a huge decision for us and we would love some prayers that God will just show us the way. We are taking this leap of faith because Chris and I have talked about how we will never get this time back and we NEED to do this to strengthen our marriage and I personally think golf is so mental that Chris needs support on the road!

With the decision made, I will be doing lots of things to help Chris on the road. I will be taking over his books for expenses, running all errands when we are in town, and doing his laundry on the road. Any little task that takes away from his practice time, I will be doing! We decided that to better focus on his game and take advantage of this amazing opportunity he has, we are going to do every thing we can so that he can utilize his time to better himself and his game. I love being his support system so this really excites me that I will be able to be a part of his life on the road and helping him doing the stuff he HATES and I actually enjoy!

Lastly, we would like to say thank you to our family and friends for supporting us in this process. If any of you know me (and Chris too), this is a major decision and one that requires a lot of faith. I truly believe that this is going to be an amazing year for both of us. I have had many signs over the past couple of weeks that really affirms our decision and I am now just looking forward to graduating with my Masters and hitting the road supporting Chris. Our motto over the past few weeks is that GOD PROVIDES!!!! We are a little hesitant about money and logistics of making this work, but we know that God provides and we CAN and WILL make this work. God is good and we feel blessed that we have this opportunity while we are young to be with each other and and support each other in our lives. Certain people keep reminding me that life is short and we can't wait for happiness, we must find a way to make happiness be a part of the now in our lives. We are blessed and remain faithful that this is what God wants for our lives. Please stay tuned! Chris is ready to get started for the year!! A Visit From The Sellers

Bailey was a lucky girl today because she had a visit from The Sellers Fam, minus their son Patrick who was not lucky enough to get out of school today for snow! Pat is a great friend and actually is the Tour Rep for Rife Putters, which Chris is currently putting with a Rife Putter! Reed is a 2nd grader and he LOVED playing with Bailey! Here are a few pictures of our fun day off! Thanks to the Sellers for coming by! We love having visitors and Bailey loves playing with everyone!

Chris in California!

Well, yesterday was a good day for Chris...even though he didn't make this week's PGA tournament in LA! Chris was 4 under after 12 holes, but then went bogey, bogey, bogey, bogey...and ended up shooting even. It is great for him to get to be out in CA practicing, as he wouldn't get anything done here! The plan now is for Chris to fly back on Friday! Chris has had a blast! He has met so many great PGA players who are very encouraging to him and have really taken him in at the practice facilities at the TPC course where he is practicing! God continues to bless him on his journey and we remain blessed for the opportunities presented! We continue to pray that Chris will get as much work as he can out there while he has the warm weather and incredible practice facilities! Chris' next lesson will be February 13th at Olde Stone, so he will be busy working and preparing for his first tournament over the next couple of weeks! Playing with The Fosters!

Bailey and I got to go hang out with the Foster boys last night! Key is almost 9!! He has a birthday coming up on February 13th! Thomas is 6! Bailey really enjoyed playing with the boys! She chased them around the house and she also was their friend while they were eating dinner! :) We had a great time. Key and Thomas are the first kids I started babysitting in Nashville and they are very special to us! They are like family to me and 2 of the sweetest boys I know! Thanks for letting us come play Key and Thomas!

Sledding in Nashville!

Thanks to my friend Julia, I was able to get out of the house today! After 2 straight days of sitting in the house, I was glad to get out! We went to 2 different hills and sledded! It was so much fun! As you can see in the pictures, we still have a good amount of snow on the ground! School is cancelled again for tomorrow, so I will be a busy bee working on lesson plans and such! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Please pray for Chris as he is going to try his best and Monday Qualify for the PGA tournament this week! He feels good and is just hoping for a great day tomorrow! May God be with him and give him the strength to do his very best! I will post tomorrow night about his day and what his plans are for the week as far as if he makes the tournament!!! Snowed In!!!

Well, as you probably have noticed....I have changed the blog. This is a result of being bored and snowed in! I probably could get out of the house, but I really don't have to get out today, so rather than risk getting in a wreck...I have just been a busy bee working on our blog! Bailey and I have been out in the snow a few times. She has realized that she can lick the snow and it tastes like water! Here are a few pictures of her!
